FICHTE / SOLINGEN and W.K.&C on the blade with the heads of a king and knight (= Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co, company created through merger of the two preceding companies in 1883), monogram A II (= Czar Alexander II, 1818-1881, ruled 1855-1881) and the Russian state emblem, brass hand guard with three tendrils, monogram A II on the hilt, nickel-plated scabbard with two hoops and hanging rings, length 100 cm, with scabbard 103 cm (Do)
According to an older designation by one of the world’s best experts on historical weapons, Leonid Tarasjuk (1925-1990), it is the sabre of an officer from the Hussar guard regiment, whose armaments included this weapon only for a brief period starting in 1874
